Job Summary
WRA Architects is looking for a Human Resources Generalist. Supports essential HR functions including training, compensation, employee relations, compliance, recruitment, immigration, and HR systems. Maintains confidentiality, ensures legal and policy compliance, and fosters a positive workplace. Operates as a community builder, a humble warrior in navigating challenges, and a mindful listener in supporting employees and leadership.
Essential Functions
Administers payroll, benefits, and leave programs; assist HR director in conducting market research to ensure competitiveness; supports morale and recognition efforts.
Ensures compliance with employment laws and best practices; maintains accurate records and updates policies.
Manages HRIS (Paylocity) and databases; generates reports and analyzes HR metrics.
Coordinates visa processes and legal documentation; ensures work authorization, tracks visa timelines, and maintains Form I-9 compliance.
Assesses training needs, organizes programs, and tracks compliance with mandatory and optional training (e.g., safety, anti-harassment, certifications).
Determine employees FMLA eligibility, provide notices, tracks leaves and manages documentation
Assists HR Director with employee inquiries, grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations; fosters a positive work culture.
Recruits and interviews candidates; collaborates with managers on job requirements; conducts background checks; leads onboarding and orientation programs.
Drafts HR communications, disciplinary notices, and maintains policies and procedures.
Executes routine HR tasks across all functional areas including compensation, benefits, performance, training, safety, and employee relations.
Stays current on HR trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to enhance HR practices.
Support HR team in other duties and projects assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; however, candidates with a minimum of five years of relevant Human Resources experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of three (3) years working in a HR position required.
Strong understanding of HR functions: employee relations, training, compensation, compliance, recruitment, and immigration processes.
Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee records, disciplinary actions, and legal matters.
Must be able to think strategically and view the business from a general management standpoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to make formal presentations in front of large audiences as needed.
Comfortable generating reports and analyzing HR data
Ability to operate in fast-paced, dynamic environment, handle adversity and frequent change, and balance workload with multiple and competing priorities.
Customer-service focus, with demonstrated experience dealing successfully with front-line internal and external customers.
Advanced skills in Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with HR software platforms – Paylocity experience preferred
The salary this website provides for this position may or may not be aligned with the salary that WRA Architects pays for this position. The salary WRA will offer will commensurate with experience.

Work Environment: General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
