Job Summary
The HR Director will lead and oversee all aspects of human resources practices and operations, playing a pivotal role in shaping our company culture, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This individual will bring extensive HR expertise, sound judgment, and a strong working knowledge of employment sponsorship and visa processes. Essential Functions
Lead and manage all HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, training, and compliance.
Develop and implement HR strategies that support the firm’s goals, values, and evolving organizational needs.
Oversee the full employee experience—from recruitment and onboarding to development, retention, and offboarding.
Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent.
Create, implement, and maintain HR policies and operational procedures that promote efficiency, consistency, and compliance.
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Promote ethical HR practices and a culture of integrity and unity.
Manage employment sponsorship and visa processes (e.g., H-1B, OPT, Green Card) in collaboration with legal counsel.
Support team Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Paylocity to support data accuracy, reporting, and process automation.
Develop and oversee performance evaluation systems and support organizational goal setting and alignment.
Design and deliver training programs that enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and compliance awareness.
Lead change management initiatives and support leadership in workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
Utilize data analytics to measure HR activity, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement across HR operations.
Evaluate and improve HR-related business processes to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with finance to develop and manage payroll and the HR department budget, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and staff, providing guidance on HR matters and organizational strategy.


Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including management of an HR team for at least 5 years.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field required (Master’s preferred).
HR Certification through SHRM (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) or an equivalent professional association is required.
Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR best practices required.
Proven experience in an architecture, design, or professional services environment is a plus.
Demonstrated experience with employment sponsorship and visa processes required.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality and fairness.

The salary this website provides for this position may or may not be aligned with the salary that WRA Architects pays for this position. The salary WRA will offer will commensurate with experience.

Work Environment: General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
