Our values: Stay Curious, Own It, Be Open, Create Possibilities Position Summary The Network Project Manager position provides a single point of contact for both customers and CDK internal groups on contracted IP Telephony and network install projects within Dealer Services. The Network Project Manager owns every aspect of the network project implementation from the time of contract roll call through install, acceptance, and billing. This position is responsible for interfacing with multiple internal and external groups to ensure that all stakeholders of the IP Telephony and network install are kept apprised of the status and that project dependencies (hardware, facilities, transport, software, resources, etc) are documented, coordinated, and aligned for success. While this position will not carry any direct reports The role will be required to direct activities in multiple areas outside of Networking. I.e.: Field Service, Network Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, etc. Responsibilities Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers. Utilize Organizational Skills and detail to manage multiple projects adhering to project budgets, schedules, and resource requirements. Establish and maintain an effective level of communication with all stakeholders Develop and define the statement of work (SOW) requirements by interfacing with the customers, vendors, and various CDK business units. Analyze and define network integration project management processes. Develop and manage multiple project plans that effectively meet the time/schedule, budget and resource requirements/constraints. Act as primary CDK contact with Telephony vendors on assigned professional service engagements. Work with Customer to understand facility readiness and layout to implement Network and VOIP installation. Manage CDK, customer and vendor resources and track project deliverables. Develop and communicate project status reports, which include open issues, risks, budget, resource and schedule details. Assist in developing Business Partner relationships and deployment processes. Assist with client presentations and discussions on an as needed basis. Maintain a thorough understanding of CDK products, processes, and customer needs. Work with Client Telco Provider on circuit provisioning and number porting process Work with Client & Engineering to develop a phone extension list and dial plan that will meet the customer’s needs. Work directly with Telco contacts to acquire circuit configuration detail Perform Network Architecture reviews to ensure proper integration with customers’ existing network applications and infrastructure Contract management, work with Sales to ensure contracted items fulfill customer needs and initiate billing upon completion of contracted services. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management and team leadership, in a technical/telecom reseller environment. Candidate should be well versed in the following areas: Program/Project Management methodologies. Working Knowledge of Networking (IP, Routers, Switches, QOS, Content filtering & Security, Wireless, WAN technologies) Working Knowledge of Telecom Transport services Experience working as a consultant with customers. Experience using project management, database, word processor, and spreadsheet software application packages. Experience in systems integration with an emphasis on any of the following technology areas: Networking (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, NOS, Devices); Transport Services (T1, PRI, MPLS, Metro E, DSL, Cable, Fiber, Voice/Data) or Client/Server Architecture (Wintel, DNS, DHCP, UNIX, Databases). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical, organization, negotiation, follow-up and problem-solving skills. Ability to be self-directed and able to set priorities with minimal supervision. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities. Ability to express technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Must be capable of dealing with associates within the CDK organization at all levels. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team. Ability to lead teams. Ability to effectively handle critical client situations and work with the appropriate Sr. Technical resources or Management at CDK to troubleshoot the most difficult technical problems. Demonstrate time management and completion of tasks to a definite deadline. Ability to use software applications including "Windows" PC applications such as MS office suite. Knowledge of CDK products, processes, and customer needs preferred. Preferred Qualifications Working Knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications products preferred Working Knowledge of Broadsoft VOIP technologies preferred Working Knowledge of Data Center environment preferred Experience with process re-engineering preferred. Salary Range:$70,000 - $90,000 CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.
