Podiatrist – Modesto, CA

As a Podiatrist with Golden Valley Health Centers, you would make a lasting
difference in the lives of Central Valley communities! Our providers deliver
high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations while improving
access to specialty services in underserved areas. In this role, you will
evaluate, diagnose, and treat conditions affecting the foot, ankle, and lower
extremities while promoting mobility, independence, and overall health outcomes.

You will provide comprehensive podiatric care including diabetic foot
management, wound care, preventative services, minor surgical procedures, and
treatment of acute and chronic conditions in a collaborative, team-based
environment dedicated to compassionate care.

Location and Schedule:
This position will work at our Modesto McHenry Clinic in Modesto, CA within
Stanislaus County. Flexibility to work five (5) eight (8) hour days or four (4)
ten (10) hour days. Physicians provide direct outpatient care and may be
scheduled for additional shifts as available.

Compensation:
$222,500 - $233,000 Annual Salary, Sign-On Bonus, and Moving Assistance
Eligible. Provider Productivity Incentive Plan and extra shifts available.

Benefits and Loan Repayment:
GVHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC); National Health Service
Corps (NHSC) loan repayment eligible with an Organizational HPSA score of 18.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Consistently adheres to GVHC’s communication guidelines and expectations with
patients, peers, and supervisors.
* Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.
* Evaluate, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and disorders of the foot,
ankle, and lower extremities.
* Perform comprehensive podiatric examinations, assessments, and develop
treatment plans.
* Provide preventative foot care, particularly for patients with diabetes,
peripheral vascular disease, and other chronic conditions
* Perform office-based procedures including nail surgery, debridement, wound
care, callus care, injections, and other procedures consistent with training
and privileges.
* Diagnose and manage infections, ulcers, deformities, fractures, and
biomechanical abnormalities.
* Prescribe medications, orthotics, and other therapeutic interventions as
appropriate.
* Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to coordinate
comprehensive patient care.
* Educate patients regarding foot health, injury prevention, diabetic foot
care, and treatment plans.
* Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic health
record.
* Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and performance improvement
activities.
* Attend and participate in Medical Staff meetings and assigned committees.
* Maintain compliance with GVHC personnel policies, clinical protocols, and
Principles of Practice.

Physical Demands

* The employee must occasionally lift up to 40 pounds and/or move up to 100
pounds (on wheels).
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the
ability to adjust focus.
* Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in person
and speak clearly to communicate information to patients and staff.
* Must have vision with or without corrective lenses adequate to read clinical
and administrative documents.
* Must possess high manual dexterity.
* Must be able to reach, bend, squat, sit, stand, stoop, crouch, kneel,
twist/turn, finger, and feel.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually average.

Education/Experience Requirements

* Graduation from an accredited college of podiatric medicine with a Doctor of
Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree.
* Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program.
* Board Qualified or Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle
Surgery (ABFAS) or American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) preferred.
* New graduates welcome to apply.
* Valid California Podiatric Medical License.
* DEA Certificate and current BLS CPR certification with American Heart
Association or American Red Cross.
* Must be able to clear credentialing and obtain privileges as required.
