Anthropic
About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
We're looking for an experienced Lifecycle MarTech Ops Manager to establish the technical infrastructure and operations for our lifecycle and retention marketing efforts. In this role, you'll be the technical backbone of our marketing operations, responsible for optimizing our martech stack to enable data-driven decisions and scalable growth across owned channels.
You'll work at the intersection of marketing, data, product, and engineering teams to build sophisticated automation workflows and intelligence capabilities to power a world-class lifecycle marketing program. As the bridge between these teams, you'll ensure our marketing technology infrastructure supports both immediate business needs and long-term strategic objectives. This role will be instrumental in creating the technical foundation that powers personalized experiences for millions of Claude users at scale.
Responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end martech stack: research and recommend new technologies, serve as primary administrator, and lead integrations between platforms
Partner with Growth Engineering & Data Infrastructure teams to design and implement data & system architecture solutions that scale – including CDP, ESP, data warehouse, and other tools involving complex integrations
Build infrastructure and data pipelines to enable advanced personalization capabilities, including product catalogs, data feeds, and dynamic content systems
Manage email deliverability across multiple domains and IPs, implementing best practices for large-scale sends and monitoring performance
Partner closely with the Retention Marketing & Data Science to build analytics infrastructure and performance dashboards, establishing KPIs across multiple platforms
Build internal services to support global campaign management
Manage SaaS vendor relationships, including contracts, performance reviews, system architecture and technical roadmap alignment
Lead platform implementations and maintain documentation for all processes and systems
Enable marketing effectiveness through comprehensive training programs and ongoing support to maximize platform utilization
You may be a good fit if you have:
10+ years of martech experience with deep expertise in B2C email service providers and proven scale ($50M+ revenue or 100M+ users)
Strong project management and technical proficiency to understand APIs, data flows, and integrations
Experience working effectively in matrix organizations and communicating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
Hands-on expertise with core B2C & B2B martech platforms (e.g. Iterable, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo) and data visualization tools like Hex or Looker
Strong technical skills including proficiency with data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake), API integrations, and data pipeline development
Deep understanding of GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other privacy regulations
Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate enterprise contracts
Strong candidates may also have:
Experience with AI/ML marketing applications
Background in software development, data engineering, or advanced technical degree
Privacy compliance and data governance expertise (GDPR, CCPA, iOS ATT) and history of building martech teams from the ground up
Experience scaling martech programs internationally
The expected salary range for this position is:
Annual Salary:
$200,000—$255,000 USD

Education requirements: We require at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
