Reporting to the Manager, Employee Experience, the Human Resource Generalist is responsible for a variety of duties and responsibilities in support of the company’s Human Resources department, including Benefits Administration, HR Operations, and Talent Acquisition functions. This role will require you to be in the Redwood City office 2 times a week.
What would you do, if hired?
Talent Acquisition Coordination and Support
Generate offer letters and consulting agreements, tracking all progress through acceptance.
Maintain and update offer templates as needed.
Maintain and update internal job descriptions.
Initiate background checks and track progress.
HR Operations
Support new hires and contractors' onboarding by initiating the onboarding process and tracking employee progress.
Data entry of new hires in HRIS, Payroll & other systems and reporting.
Ensure all payroll changes are tracked, and work with the Payroll team to ensure.
Collect and maintain all required employee documentation.
Draft employee change letters, verifications of employment, and respond to them
Respond to employee inquiries regarding timekeeping, time off, and payroll issues.
In partnership with external legal counsel, manage the company’s US visa sponsorship process
Benefits Administration
Assist employees with benefits questions and work with brokers to resolve issues.
Track new hires' enrollment, and support open enrollment activities and qualifying events.
Maintain current benefits documentation.
Reconcile monthly benefits billing.
Work with payroll on benefits deductions and HSA and FSA account funding.
Who are we looking for?
Skills and Abilities
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and navigate in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment.
Ability to act with professionalism and confidentiality.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Comfortable with communicating with executives if needed.
Creative problem-solving and the ability to think outside the box to suggest and develop new HR processes and initiatives.
Education and Experience
BA/BS degree or equivalent, and PHR certification, strongly preferred.
A minimum of 3+ years of working specifically in an HR capacity.
Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources.
Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.
This HR Generalist will have the opportunity to take on an expanding role in global payroll support. Global HR experience is a strong plus.
Prior experience with cloud-based payroll and HRIS applications.
Experience with Sage and ADP Workforce Now, strongly preferred.
Celigo reasonably expects to pay a base salary between $87,000 and $95,000 per year for this position. Actual starting base pay will be determined by skills, experience, geographic location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, benefits, or other perks as outlined in any formal employment offer made.
