The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive systems engineering, experience with hardware and software integration, and expertise in developing and optimizing system solutions for cutting-edge automotive technologies.
As an ADAS Platform Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our company's ADAS capabilities, ensuring the successful implementation of various systems, and providing technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle.
What you’ll do…
ADAS Platform System Design & Development
Support the design, development and analysis of an integrated suite of hardware, software and sensor technologies enabling the deployment of ADAS features such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Collision Avoidance, Parking Assistance, and more.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in automotive electronics, embedded software, and system-level design, development, analysis, and Integration.
ADAS Platform System Design & Architecture
Support the design and development of the technical architecture for the next generation ADAS platform, ensuring the design meets functional and performance requirements.
Ensure designs meet ADAS features performance, safety, and regulatory standards, including compliance with ISO 26262 (functional safety), and cybersecurity standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system-level requirements, integrate hardware/software components, and ensure compliance with automotive standards.
Technical Leadership
Design, develop and integrate hardware and software solutions for ADAS features, ensuring compatibility with interfacing software elements. Support cross-functional teams (hardware, software, and system engineers) in the development, failure mode analysis, integration, and optimization of ADAS solutions using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and cascade of Platform System logical and technology requirements to the hardware and software elements including the complete requirement traceability. This includes platform system specifications, architecture, and requirements cascade to the hardware and software elements for implementation.
Support the development of the Platform System analysis including all interfaces, failure mode analysis and corresponding robustness actions.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in the system design by analyzing technical trade-offs and providing alternative solutions.
System Design, Integration & Test:
Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop board-level interfaces and ensure proper signal integrity and communication between components.
Ensure sensors and perception solutions are designed and tested to meet the needs of the platform system
Develop test methods to ensure seamless integration of hardware (SoC) with embedded software and firmware elements. Design testing methods and protocols, both virtual and physical, to validate system performance in real-world conditions.
Performance Optimization:
Analyze and optimize the performance of the platform system hardware, software, sensors, and perception. Conduct performance tuning, memory management, and debugging to ensure efficient operation within constraints (e.g. power consumption, CPU load, latency etc.).
Collaboration with Suppliers & Partners:
Work closely with in-house software design teams, suppliers and external partners to evaluate, and integrate third-party components and software for ADAS systems.
Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:
Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the ADAS platform system SoC integration, performance, and system software.
Documentation & Reporting:
