The Advance Driver Assistance Technology (ADAS) team develops state-of-the-art software and algorithms to deliver best-in-class features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and 360 camera systems.
We are seeking a highly driven engineer responsible for the program application work for ADAS ECU/sensors. You would lead hardware and software application and vehicle integration work of these systems that control ADAS features on several vehicle programs
What you'll do:
Lead the Surround View Camera Application group
Guide and mentor team on quality engineering deliverables, quality improvements, problem solving disciplines, pro-active problem solution, forward design thinking, and trade off analysis
Represent the ADAS Camera Application team in global stakeholder reviews with studio, vehicle architecture, hardware, software, features, body exterior, service, and etc.
Responsible for setting and delivering against performance targets for application group against engineering deliverable, quality target, and personal development improvements
Responsible for timely delivering engineer work packages per the Global Product Development System process on various vehicle programs.
Responsible for delivering current and future generation surround view camera applications.
Responsible for positive downstream customer experience with Automotive Safety Office, Vehicle Operations, and Vehicle Programs to support vehicle launches.
Provide cost-efficient and quality parts on time, maintaining ownership and governance of component-specific robustness quality documentation (DFMEA, DVP&R, SCAAF, etc.).
Support the sourcing process, including investment, piece price, and tooling cost reviews, and prepare initial and final sourcing documents including ESOW, Engineering Specifications, System and Component requirements.
Drive competitive benchmarking to ensure Ford maintains a competitive position in ADAS camera integration solution.
Conduct Technical Design Reviews for packaging and interfacing components affecting surround view camera and feature performance.
Collaborate with the electrical distribution team by submitting related E/E information like Design Transmittals, specifications, and electrical diagrams.
You'll bring...
• MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or strongly related
• 8+ years of Automotive system and component design and release experience.
• 5+ years of CAD packaging experience.
• 3+ years of vehicle launch experience

• Strong understanding and application of engineering disciplines (engineering specifications, systems engineering, design validation, failure mode analysis, 8D, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, self-motivated, proactive, eager to take responsibility, and deliver results with cross-functional team.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to quickly learn the job (with mentoring from others), and then be able to empower team member to exceed their performance.
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate and interact with others, both orally and in writing.
• Mechanical subsystems, brackets design experience.
• Experience with ADAS camera technologies and packaging electronic components in vehicles
• Diagnostic tools and troubleshooting familiarity (DET, CANalyzer, DTCs, DIDs etc.).
• Thorough understanding of vehicle electrical systems and electrical design/development processes.
• Understanding of production processes.
• Ability to travel, as necessary.

This position is a leadership level 6 and ranges from $129,600 - $200,000
