JOB TITLE:                       

Post Doctoral Research Associate - Mathematics and Statistics

JOB PURPOSE:

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Wyoming
invites applications for a 1-year postdoctoral position in mathematical
analysis, starting in Fall 2026. This position will offer a salary of $65,000
plus fringe benefits and provide a promising analyst with a research-focused
year in a beautiful location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Pursue an active research program in mathematical analysis. This may include
real, complex, harmonic, functional, or other major branches of analysis.

Collaborate with faculty in related areas and contribute to the broader
mathematical community at the University of Wyoming.

Teaching duties may be assigned (at most one course per semester).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

Ph.D. in mathematics (with emphasis in analysis or a closely related field)
required by the start date.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

Strong research record and potential for independent work and collaboration
preferred.

Teaching experience preferred.

WORK LOCATION: 

On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the
successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job
functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea
level. 

WORK AUTHORIZATION REQUIREMENTS:

Work authorization sponsorship may be available for this position, conditioned
on the non-applicability of the fees implemented in 90 FR 46027 to the visa
petition.
