About the Role:
Experienced Mechanical Project Manager wanted to lead facilities engineering projects across education, public works, transportation, and government sectors.

Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical and plumbing system designs, including HVAC, hydronic systems, and domestic/sanitary piping.
Oversee junior engineers and drafters; review and approve design documentation.
Conduct field investigations, HVAC load studies, energy modeling, and code reviews.
Coordinate with permitting agencies and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and internal/external communications.
Contribute to client presentations, marketing efforts, and proposal development.
Provide leadership and performance management to cross-functional project teams.
Work Environment
Office-based ~95% of the time with occasional fieldwork.
Light lifting (up to 25 lbs) and varying outdoor conditions during site visits.
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
12+ years of experience in mechanical design.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
HVAC and plumbing systems expertise.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with IESVE and/or Carrier HAP.
Strong knowledge of building, energy, and mechanical/plumbing codes.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Nice-to-Have:
CAPM, PMP, CxA, or BCxP certifications.
Experience with Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, or P3 delivery methods.
Background in industrial systems and/or fire protection design.
Client-facing and business development experience.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
